NCtazman Posted April 2, 2016 #1 Posted April 2, 2016 Alright everyone I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with. I have a 2008 Venture and the problem I am having is when I play the radio or satellite radio I can hear it great through the headset however when I switch it over to the speakers I get a lot of static. I split the faring and cleaned all of the connections and applied dialectic grease in them, however I still get the static through the speakers. I am at a loss as to what to try next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
DblTrbl Posted April 3, 2016 #2 Posted April 3, 2016 damaged speakers? pinched wires? I had the same thing tut the dialectic grease cured it.
Karaboo Posted April 3, 2016 #3 Posted April 3, 2016 Are any of the speaker wires routed next to some ignition wiring? Maybe a ignition suppressor (condenser) may help? Don't forget to check all the grounds for the ignition and the radio.
cecdoo Posted April 3, 2016 #4 Posted April 3, 2016 Check to be sure your CB isnt on, it will cause static sound on the radio. Craig
ragtop69gs Posted April 3, 2016 #5 Posted April 3, 2016 Your audio wires under the gas tank are too close to the coil wires. Pull the tank and rearrange the wires to get as much separation between them as possible.
NCtazman Posted April 6, 2016 Author #6 Posted April 6, 2016 Thanx for the sugestions, will let you know if any work
