just a thought because I don't have any plastic that I care about BUT wuoldn't mineral oil do the same thing and if you used mineral oil you wouldn't have the worry about the rancid effect after the sun hits it. jmho

Just curious - Did ANYBODY notice that I posed a question ?

no need to respond, it's rhetorical just like everything else

It could not have a question cuz it did not end with a question mark, therefor it is just a statement. :stickpoke: :stirthepot: :rasberry:

Your last post did end with a question mark so it is getting an answer.

Yes I did notice. No I do not have a good answer. But I am good at bad answers...........

Saddle Bags.jpg

On my 2003 Honda ST the saddlebags on the bottom have a plastic that use to be "Black" when new and turned grey. It is a different kind of plastic. I tried all the regular stuff you could buy to restore plastic and nothing worked.

It looked good for awhile and then faded right back.

While in my garage one day I was looking at the bags and not happy with the way they looked. Walked over to my bench and started looking around for something that would bring back the color. Looked up on my top shelf and a can of of "Spray Motorkote" was setting there. I tried it and it worked great. I put it on two times and then I put on the regular "MotorKote" and it stayed the rest of the summer looking good.

Happy Spring to everyone!:thumbsup2:

Mineral oil would most likely work also. I don't see why not.

We need someone here to test it on the plastic of a 1st gen since those 1st gens are supposed to be first in everything...........:stickpoke:.

I used this on boke bits before.

there can be side effects: On another forum, a guy did his truck fender flares and deers came out and started licking his flares.

What I did after using the peanut butter... I had some leather conditioner and applied that and it also does a marvelous job. Also the peanut butter is similar to polishing/rubbing compound and may help remove some small marks and scratches..
