Anyone know if there is a safe / free way to download excel to a computer that does not have it?

I have excel on my lap top but my wife does not.

She is running window's 10 on one lap top and windows 7 on another lap top.

Been looking for a link to download free but there are way to many options and slick attachments that I am not aware of. I don't want to download spam..

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks

Eck: sorry but there is no Legal way to get Excel (part of Microsoft Office) for free unless you are a non profit organization like a church.. There are free versions of software that have the same functionality as Excel such as Open Office. The spreadsheet in Open Office is an excellent product and is compatible with Microsoft Excel so you can work with an excel file as well as save to an excel file. Here is a link to Open Office.. check it out..

Eck-

If you have a student in the family, they can purchase a copy at the book store for 3 computers.

or

If you have a family member that is in management at one of the special companies associated with Microsoft, they have a program. I got Office 2012 through my family that works at FedEx for $10

I agree with open office. I have Excel on my work computer but didn't want to pay for Office for my Mac or Eileen's computer. So I use open office on both of them and have had no problems at all. Great way to go. Been using it for several years now.

Fantastic... I already downloaded it to my wife's lap top and have been giving her some lessons on how to use it.

I think you'll like it. I doubt I'll ever pay for MS Office again. OpenOffice works great for me.

I have never heard of it before today, but as soon as I loaded it to my wife's laptop, I realized it is so easy to use..

It works almost exactly like Excel.. in fact, I have already created a couple files for tax purposes..

I have used open office for years works well. There are sometimes a few quirks when you convert an open office sheet to a MS but it has been word doc's I think. Mainly formatting, so it will push a sentence over or something.

Ditto. Open Office is great. I have had some weirdness opening MS files sometimes but when I send the file to my coworker with excell there is usually something screwy about the way the file was created. All I use it for is opening MS files customers send me. No way I'm paying for office just to do that. It works. It's really free. No ads, nags, viruses.

I agree with Don. We use Open Office on all our agent's workstations. It does pretty much everything you can do with Microsoft Office.
