Venturous Randy Posted March 17, 2016 #1 Posted March 17, 2016 did you buy gas at while it was down? I bought Shell reg at $1.38.9 I wonder if I will ever buy gas that low in my lifetime. Randy
Eck Posted March 17, 2016 #2 Posted March 17, 2016 It is on it's way back up and I am like you... I don't think I will ever see it this low again ever...
djh3 Posted March 17, 2016 #3 Posted March 17, 2016 Yea me neither. I have not read what the latest excuse is for going up.
Zzyzx Posted March 17, 2016 #4 Posted March 17, 2016 Our best price was $1.74 but today we are already back up to $2.28. Oh, Goodie
cowpuc Posted March 17, 2016 #5 Posted March 17, 2016 We saw 1.49,, pretty cool too cause we got to drive our car for the winter.. 1.90 now,, ohhhh well,, guess Tip and I are gonna have to start riding a dorky motorcycle or something
Yammer Dan Posted March 17, 2016 #6 Posted March 17, 2016 WE got it a few weeks ago for 1.63 and its started to creep up there. obustard slammed me again so I'm not going to be buying as much anyway. Sine that retard has been in office my retirement has been chopped 800 bucks. Sorry got sidetracked!! Yes gas is starting to sneak back up.
bj66 Posted March 17, 2016 #7 Posted March 17, 2016 As a farmer I have both gas and diesel fuel on my farm. I usually contract both gas and diesel in January/February. Usually it is the cheapest time of year to do it. I did get the diesel done, however at the time cash price on gas was something like 1.82. Contract price was something like 2.08. Talk about some wiggle room to allow for summer prices to go up. I decided not to do the gas. in a few more weeks I will have room to get some more gas and hopefully make it through most of the tourist season. I contracted gas in February 2015 at 2.28. So that gives you an idea where we were at one year ago at this time. If I remember right diesel was about 2.30 and that is ag diesel, not highway diesel.
Freebird Posted March 17, 2016 #8 Posted March 17, 2016 I guess I got lucky. I drove almost 3,000 miles going to and returning from Texas last week. I bought gas as cheap as 1.49 along the way. Could have been a lot worse huh.
Marcarl Posted March 17, 2016 #9 Posted March 17, 2016 I got lucky the other day, went to the Indian Reserve and paid $3.10 us gal. At the pumps here today it's $3.59 us gal. I thought that was cheap,,,, heck with trump, I'm moving to the states,, anybody got a house for sale?
Mike G in SC Posted March 17, 2016 #10 Posted March 17, 2016 I got it in Fort Mill, NC a couple of weeks ago for $1.38. That was the lowest I have seen in this round. I see local is back up to about $1.70 in mid-SC. But,,, as it is going back up,,,, so is my 401K. It seems pretty well married to the oil game.
Sailor Posted March 17, 2016 #11 Posted March 17, 2016 We saw $ 4.00/gal here but only for three or four days. going back up now. It is painful to remember the days when $ 5.00 got you a full tank.
cowpuc Posted March 17, 2016 #12 Posted March 17, 2016 We saw 1.49,, pretty cool too cause we got to drive our car for the winter.. 1.90 now,, ohhhh well,, guess Tip and I are gonna have to start riding a dorky motorcycle or something ME AND BIG MOUTH ,, WE JUST JUMPED TO 2.09!! SOMETIMES I TALK TO MUCH:Im not listening to
GeorgeS Posted March 17, 2016 #13 Posted March 17, 2016 Been hearing the stock mkt, guru's talking about 50 to 60 bucks for crude oil for the next two years. But !! All the storage tanks, and tanker ships are FULL !! Whats Up ??? Who knows ?
Flyinfool Posted March 17, 2016 #14 Posted March 17, 2016 The price bottomed out here about 2 months ago at around $1.39. With Easter coming it is expected to jump the price to catch the travelers. They are raising the price cuz they can, that's all the reason they need. They let it dip down for a while so everyone would go out and trade in there econobox cars for big honking SUVs that drink gas, then pop the price back up and roll in the cash..............
bongobobny Posted March 18, 2016 #15 Posted March 18, 2016 While on vacation in Texas filled up for $1.32 a gallon at a HEB...
jfman Posted March 22, 2016 #16 Posted March 22, 2016 My last Venture fillup cost me 178 and I was not even empty.
