Having difficulty installing rider seat

Any helpful tricks or hints on reinstalling the stock rider seat? I can seem to git the plastic tab to reach down enough to fit in the metal tab....tried pushing but didn't want to break anything.

May need to pry the metal tab up just a touch, most likely got bent down somehow.

Also make sure there are not wires or tubes in the way.

I got it but it was a pain In the ass....I am thinking the PO or the dealership didn't install it rigjt and the rider then puts weight on the seat bending the plastic tab on top of the metal bracket instead of being inserted into it. All better now.

I had a similar problem. So I heated the plastic tab on the bottom of the seat with a hair drier (heat gun on low) and bent it up slightly. They become depressed from not being properly positioned under the metal tab and riding the bike. The weight in the seat distorts the plastic tab.
