Need adapter for antenna 3/8 x 24 to 8mm

I ordered some FS-2 Firestik 2 fr black antennaes. Apparently I will need adapter studs to go from 3/8 X 24 from the male on the Firestik to the 8mm female on the antenna base of the bike. Firestik sells them but they want $19.99 each plus shipping g. Any place to get these adapters cheaper?

If you know anyone with a metal lathe, they would be easy to make. If you have to pay someone to make them then $20 each is cheap. I made mine out of some 1" aluminium stock I had laying around and probably close to an hours work including polishing.

I would like a pair of those adapters also, but $19 each is a lot! $5-6 sure sounds a lot better if anyone knows where they could be found!

I bought them at truck stops. Not all have them but most of the bigger ones do. I don't remember exactly what I paid but I think it was a lot less than $20.00..

That's what I did too, found at a truck stop where they had a CB place.
