KISA Posted February 26, 2016 #1 Posted February 26, 2016 I look for information on a bag. I will be glad to the description and photos. Perhaps, it will manage to be made again.
Condor Posted February 27, 2016 #4 Posted February 27, 2016 Looks very similar to other bags on the market. The only thing missing is the logo. TANK.BAG
paysaw Posted February 27, 2016 #6 Posted February 27, 2016 Here is the one I have for my bike.It is similar to the Ventureline type.
Prairiehammer Posted February 27, 2016 #7 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) I have two of those VentureLine tank bags. They were made by Eclipse for Yamaha. One of my bags was a NOS find, the other is only slightly used but is missing the mounting straps. The bags are not large and are not water/rain proof. But, is large enough to contain my travel bike cover, a can of Pledge, a microfibre cleaning cloth, log book, LED flashlight, pens, calculator, wire ties, spare fuses, etc. The clear map holder snaps on or off and has a ZipLoc type closure on the map holder. The mounting system consists of a harness with straps and hooks that attach under the front of the faux tank cover and a loop that slips over the fuel tank door latch striker plate. There is Velcro hooks on the straps and Velcro loops on the bags underside. Edited February 29, 2016 by Prairiehammer
Wizard765 Posted February 27, 2016 #8 Posted February 27, 2016 Excellent bag specifically for the 1st gen venture. The straps hook to the false tank cover and the bag velcros to the straps.. Most tank bags are held on with magnets which won't work for the 1st gens without some modifictions.
paysaw Posted February 29, 2016 #9 Posted February 29, 2016 I have a tank rack that the bag sits on.it is a little difficult to put the straps on because it does not go under the tank.I don't have to worry about scratching my tank though. I have a tank bag I use from the Honda I had thats bigger and has a waterproof cover. That's the one I use when I tour.
