VanRiver Posted February 22, 2016 #1 Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) Had the great honour of meeting a fellow VentureRider Member today here in Toronto Canada . Big thanks to member @paysaw for taking the time to meet at my hotel to do a quick "Venture parts exchange" and showing me some pictures of his sweet 86 Venture Royale all decked out and chromed up. Cheers Buddy, wish we lived closer so we could take the bikes out and go for a ride! Here is a pic (sorry for the blinding shine off my bald head!) Edited February 22, 2016 by VanRiver

paysaw Posted February 23, 2016 #4 Posted February 23, 2016 It was a pleasure to meet you James. We have lots of great people down here in Southern Ontario Canada. Thanks for getting that part for me from your neck of the woods. Maybe the next time you are in the Toronto area we can arrange a Meet and Eat with a few of the fellas down here. Happy trails my friend.
eusa1 Posted February 23, 2016 #5 Posted February 23, 2016 Watch that 86 royal!! It's the faster illinois version!!!
Eck Posted February 23, 2016 #6 Posted February 23, 2016 I find it very pleasurable when someone pulls up in our driveway on a bike or cage, gets off our out of it, only to find out that they are one of our VR family members. Please know that each of you are always welcome... anytime ...in Alabama....preferably with a heads up notice (out of respect)..Just come on by!

Please know that each of you are always welcome... anytime ...in Alabama....preferably with a heads up notice (out of respect)..Just come on by! I am right there with you Eck!! Nothing funner than having the doorbell ring and finding a VR member I have or have not met yet standing on the other side of the door - wayyyyy cool!! I know there are other members here too that feel the same way. Last year one of our members ( @Hoss ) posted up a "STOP AND SAY HI" note in the Watering Hole to all of us members who were headed for @bj66 's Pie Butt 26.2 out at the Sturgis Rally. Tip and I took the long route to Sturgis to take him up on his invite, what a BLAST we had (I am right in the middle of doing a little story about it - should be posted up pretty soon). Much to our delight - later in the year Hoss and his wife returned the gesture and stopped by our home here in Muskegon on their way out to the east coast for their Wedding Anniversary - FANTASTIC COUPLE!! Another great couple, @bluestar99 and his wife, have done the same - they have even made it out to our Hot Dog shin digs too.. Pretty cool really cause ya just never know around this place who your gonna get to go exploring the country with!! I know I have posted this up before but thought I better mention it here too.. Lots of folks dont know this about us but Tip and I are - ride till we drop and camp where we stop - kinda folk. We know what its like to be in a strange land, middle of the night and be looking for some bushes to hide our sleeping bags behind - sort of old school but so are we.. Because we know what that is all about our yard/driveway/backyard what ever is ALWAYS open to VR biker tent floppers - whether we are home or not, middle of the night, no phone call necessary and all that.. Just pull in and drop your tent!! Our house is easy to find on the members map - my "balloon" on that map also points at a fire pit in our back yard and camp fires are good to go there... Still think it would be AWESOME if we had some kind of "Free Yard Camp" section on the site in case there are others with the same old school ideas...
