I have a J&M elite headset for sale. Is 2yrs old, comes with the 5 pin connection cord for the 2nd GEN.... New it would cost $229.00 from J&M, asking 150.00 you pay shipping.

I bought a new helmet with a headset pre-installed and don't really need the 2nd headset so I am willing to remove it from the helmet and sell it.

PM me if you are interested

Buddy rich makes a connector that will hook to the bike intercom cord and tie it into the zumo

I have one on my bike.

Contact buddy and he can give you the lowdown on it

+1 on BuddyRich cable. It allows you to connect your Bluetooth phone thru the Zumo and speak handsfree using your headset. Assuming a full face helmet, it sound as good as a handsfree kit in the truck.

does this headset also work on an openface (3/4) helmet? I noticed on their site that they sell slightly different applications, and was wondering how different they really were.

The modular (and 3/4 or open face) version has a flexible boom mic with windscreen that extends from the helmet bracket. The full face style has a small mic with long wires so you can place the mic in the chin bar foam, slightly off center.

I believe the the 3/4 and modular are the same unit, cannot see why they would be any different.

I will be soon connecting the headset cord 5-pin DIN connector to a ham radio directly on another bike via an adapter I need to make.
