Credit Card Skimmers

Just a heads up, in our area recently the credit card skimmers have made their way into gas pumps. These folks open the pump with a universal key and plug it between the reader and the system. Now they are using wireless technology to access the data to avoiding being caught, they still get caught using the remade cards. The suggestion is to go inside and swipe, never handing anyone else your card. If you use an debit card, get in the practice of covering your hand when entering your pin. Last be in the habit of checking your statement, especially when traveling. Thieves commonly will make a copy of the data on your card, hit a store and buy gift cards, a few small ones and then bigger ones. If they are good they will spread purchases out so go less noticed.

These type of thieves are also at Malls and major department stores and heck, when it comes right down to it they are everywhere.!!!

I hung on to dealing with that green stuff as long as I could and finally went plastic. Looks like I should have hung on!!
