These folks open the pump with a universal key and plug it between the reader and the system. Now they are using wireless technology to access the data to avoiding being caught, they still get caught using the remade cards. The suggestion is to go inside and swipe, never handing anyone else your card. If you use an debit card, get in the practice of covering your hand when entering your pin. Last be in the habit of checking your statement, especially when traveling. Thieves commonly will make a copy of the data on your card, hit a store and buy gift cards, a few small ones and then bigger ones. If they are good they will spread purchases out so go less noticed.
