Marcarl Posted February 20, 2016 #2 Posted February 20, 2016 SWEET!!! Hope you'll enjoy it,,,, I think the 86s ran the best off the MrkIIs, but then that's only my opinion.

Yammer Dan Posted February 21, 2016 #5 Posted February 21, 2016 Looking good. My 86 is over 70k now and hiding in the garage but I tinkered with her a little today. I think the 86's were awlsome!! Enjoy!! Check the brake shoes they seem to eat them but stop great not like other bikes that don't know how to stop!!!

BlueSky Posted February 21, 2016 #12 Posted February 21, 2016 Lots of owners are putting Harley Road King Mufflers on the 1st gens. If you do a search you can find out a lot of information. One member has a youtube video of his bike and he shows the mods he made including installing the RK muffs.
ChiefCass Posted February 21, 2016 #13 Posted February 21, 2016 Beautiful! Enjoy her. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk

I don't recall which years they did it - maybe 2005 -2010???. One pipe is pretty much straight through with converter restricting the other side. I'm pretty sure the converter is in the right side pipe.
