For the crank bolt I use an impact. One zip and its off.

Make sure you have grade 8.8 bolts or better for your puller. The rotor can be a b@st@rd.

Make your life easier and watch this:

Notice how everything jumps when it releases. There's lots of force and weight there. Do not get in front of it when it lets go or you may regret it. Mine came off with enough force to launch it across the garage. I was standing off to the side and had a good grip on it so it just tried to spin me around at the workbench.

If you are replacing the starter clutch you might want to give @Dano a shout. He has an upgrade that is much better than stock.

Yes there are a lot of stories about getting the flywheel off for the first time.

Keep us posted,,, starter clutch stories are always interesting,,, a new story every time!

It took about 2 minutes to get the rotor off. All the bolts in the clutch came out with only an allen wrench, looks like there was no loctite on them.

So now how do I get it back on?

Anyone know the best way or the trick to reinstall the rotor? It came off easy, not as easy going back on. I'm at a stand still.

Thanks

Best maybe to tell us what you did in replacement and repairs, and then give us some pictures as to where you are presently.

So will the flywheel not go on the end of the crankshaft? or will it not seat down all the way? is the key lined up properly? does the clutch fit inside the flywheel ok? is the clutch mounted properly,,, lots of questions.

A new day a new prospective, too much force not enough finesse.
