Guest JMAC71 Posted April 9, 2008 #1 Posted April 9, 2008 Can anybody point me in the right direction to find a chrome front wheel for my 2006 RSTD? I sent mine off to be chromed and it seems to have been lost ???????? Or so I am told. In the mean time I am in search of a place that sells the wheels already chromed and would sell me one without doing an exchange. Or does anybody maybe have a front wheel for sale that I could buy and have chromed. Thanks, Jerry
flb_78 Posted April 9, 2008 #2 Posted April 9, 2008 Man, that's some crap luck. Did the shipper lose the wheel or the chromer? Did you not have it insured? BTW, the RSTD also uses the same wheels as the Venture, so eBay is a good place to start. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Venture-Royal-Star-XVZ13-FRONT-WHEEL-RIM-TIRE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247QQcategoryZ10066QQihZ003QQitemZ130198422445QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Venture-Royal-Star-FRONT-WHEEL-RIM-TIRE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247QQcategoryZ10066QQihZ009QQitemZ190155737239QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V
Guest JMAC71 Posted April 9, 2008 #3 Posted April 9, 2008 Yep it is some pretty crappy luck? That is what I thought as well. The chromer seems to have mis-placed the wheel. I am just getting a run around about it from them. They say if they can't find where it went, they will replace it, but that was like two weeks ago. It doesn't seem they are in a big hurry to solve what is going on. In the mean time I am just going to try and find me another wheel. I will stay on the chromer as well. You get the feeling business just don't care about customer service like they use to? I have run into that alot here in the last year or so. Thanks for the heads up. I am keeping an eye on ebay as well. thanks, Jerry
pegscraper Posted April 9, 2008 #4 Posted April 9, 2008 Here's a front wheel with a Dunlop D404 tire on it, for about the cost of a new front tire, depending on what you get I suppose. They also had the rear wheel as well. With a second set of wheels, you can get new tires without any downtime at all, just put the new tires on your spare set. That is assuming you get your old one back. What a drag. Ebay item #130213287004.

Guest JMAC71 Posted April 10, 2008 #6 Posted April 10, 2008 I greatly appreciate the offer. Hopefully I can get this resolved one way or another by the next week. If not, I will just go ahead and buy another one. I really do appreciate the offer, you are one in a few that would do that. It makes me feel good to know there are still people in this world who are willing to help others. I live in Jackson, Tn....and I have some kin people in the Birmingham area actually. Nice place. They love it there. Again thanks, I do appreciate it. Jerry
