zagger Posted January 30, 2016 #26 Posted January 30, 2016 I didn't attach any name to my bike. My riding friends started calling it the "black beast" and so that's its name zag
Goose68 Posted January 31, 2016 #27 Posted January 31, 2016 I call my 84 Standard Lazarus because it was brought back from the dead, but shes a girl lol
Guest Jamsie Posted January 31, 2016 #28 Posted January 31, 2016 i have 2 bikes, "The VFR" and "The RSV"
rbig1 Posted February 2, 2016 #29 Posted February 2, 2016 I named mine ICE as when I got home from buying it was buried in a deep coat of ice. Had a real hard time getting the straps off of it. Took days for it to thaw
ToyOdie Posted February 2, 2016 #30 Posted February 2, 2016 My 96 was Ethel so the 97 had to be Lucy.
Bert2006 Posted February 2, 2016 #31 Posted February 2, 2016 I call mine Big Red :cool10:also but the wife has called it a number of names in the past that I do not dare mention here...this being a family friendly site and all:stirthepot:. She has now come around after a few pleasant rides with her on Big Red .
Larry1963 Posted February 2, 2016 Author #32 Posted February 2, 2016 It's my Broom I like this, So I guess the broom fits LOL
revks Posted February 2, 2016 #33 Posted February 2, 2016 I don't have a name for my bike though in honor of the first owner who practically gave it to me I considered naming it after him. Then when I thought how it would sound to people asking what I had been up to I figured telling them I took Ed for a long ride would be met with some weird looks. To date all the vehicles I had names for are in the scrap yard, but we did name our GPS after my wife's grandmother who was a whiz at directions. Even after dementia set in and she sent you via some weird route, we mostly wound up where we were going.
Larry1963 Posted February 2, 2016 Author #34 Posted February 2, 2016 It's my Broom Is that a sidecar with your bike I cannot see the pic well
Stache Posted February 2, 2016 #35 Posted February 2, 2016 I've kept it pretty simple: 2012 Venture: Big V 2009 Tour Deluxe: TD Wife's 2010 650: Reddy 1st son's 2009 650: Whitey 2nd son's 2009 950: 950 2009 250: crowbar (the tool I use to get it unstuck from my butt after I ride it) 3rd son and 1st daughter aren't old enough yet. There'll be more eventually.
revks Posted February 2, 2016 #36 Posted February 2, 2016 Many of our members are surprised when I show up at their home on my 83 venture standard. For some reason they think you can't ride them on gravel. Naming mine visitation would mess up my records though.
Pegasus1300 Posted February 2, 2016 #37 Posted February 2, 2016 My 96 was Ethel so the 97 had to be Lucy. You could have called them "Ethel and " Regular"

Larry1963 Posted February 2, 2016 Author #39 Posted February 2, 2016 .........and we ride 'em! I ride with some other women and we call ourselves the Wicked Witches of the North Can't post pictures, they keep showing up sideways.....It's a hack I had that same problem and I think Flyinfool, gave me advice, I could be wrong on the person. Open the picture up in your computer, and resave it, I did this and it worked for me. So a bunch of women on brooms LOL So cool.
