Guest Jamsie Posted January 30, 2016 #26 Posted January 30, 2016 Larry , you can buy " Remove Before flight " key rings . i have several. 1 for each set of keys, lock for my scoot and also 1 for my interlock key at work . think i paid £3.50 for 5 from amazon . i recieved my lift this week but will have to make an adaptor , might put legs on it as well, as i am a fitter fabricator ( blacksmith by trade ) this wont be a prob , might even use works material, also need to make a passing light bar as cost of postage from usa to uk is more than the cost of the light bar
Heartbeat Posted August 1, 2016 #27 Posted August 1, 2016 How can I get one of these Carbonone adapters with legs, or go about refabricating my old one? How long are the legs?

Heartbeat Posted August 2, 2016 #29 Posted August 2, 2016 Yes they are, now I found them. Thanks Kevin!
videoarizona Posted August 2, 2016 #30 Posted August 2, 2016 Let me add one thing, in Carbon One notes he had a warning about leaving the lift part on the bike that pins to the bottom of the bike. I do not have his instructions in front of me but it said something about marking it or flagging it because it is possible to lower the bike and without the legs it is possible to forget this. Well I thought that was stupid, how could someone do that. Well........ I lowered the bike, and then got a phone call, which led to me doing something else, which lead to me doing something else, 4 hours later my wife is headed home, it is raining out so I was going to pull the bike back into the shed..... Well guess what I almost forgot to take off. I am going to get a remove be for ride or some kind of red flag to put on both sides or on the key when lift is installed. I suffer from serve case of CRS.
M61A1MECH Posted August 2, 2016 #31 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) One habit I have gotten into over the years of suffering from CRS is when I am doing maintenance on the bike or car that if the vehicle were started or moved could cause serious damage, I take the key out of the ignition or out of my pocket and hang it on the wall. That way if I am half way into something and get interrupted I cannot just jump on the bike or in the car and roar off with out going and retrieving the key, that is when the brain says , "Why is the key on the wall?" It is just enough of a reminder to cause me to pause and review what I had been doing before being interrupted. Remove before flight tags are also great reminders, I have one on the string attached to my side stand plate I use when parking on soft soil or hot asphalt parking lot. String with remove before flight tag are attached to the left grip, hard to forget. Edited December 20, 2016 by M61A1MECH fix spelling errors
Scifiman Posted December 20, 2016 #32 Posted December 20, 2016 Happy to say I am the proud owner of a CarbonOne lift adapter stand, it arrived yesterday and I had my Venture up on it shortly there after. It was very simple to install with detailed instructions, the bike is very stable on the stand, money well spent.

In the next few days, I'll be using it to replace my rear tire. Have fun working on your bike. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
