New Plug wires but seems loose at coils

OK....so today I installed the 4 guage battery cables, new plugs and put a new set of plug wires I got off Skydoc a long time ago.

They already had the plug caps installed.

But....what holds the wires into the coils?

these must be SLIGHTLY smaller diameter cables cause the little rubber washer inside the coil cap doesn't really bite it very well.

It seems that the only thing holding the wire in place is a tiny pin inside the coil and those rubber washers.

Am I missing something????

Maybe you need to look for an O-ring that fits the plug cables a little tighter.

Put the coil cap on the cable first, then the O-ring, and then the rubber washer.

It might provide a better compression fit that way.
