Mover Posted January 14, 2016 #1 Posted January 14, 2016 Who has run Exedra Max tires on their RSV and also Elite 3s and how would you compare them? I'm on my second set of Elite 3s and like them a lot but a friend just bought Exedra Max for his Goldwing. Were planning a trip together for this summer and my RSV will need new tires before hand. Thanks Mover
MiCarl Posted January 14, 2016 #2 Posted January 14, 2016 I'm not a big fan of the Exedra. In my 8 years in business I've only had to replace two tires under warranty - both Exedra. What makes that worse is it's one of the tires I sell few of. If you're happy with the Elite 3s I suggest you stick with them.
gez Posted January 14, 2016 #3 Posted January 14, 2016 I have (second set) E3s on the RSV and Exedras on the Road Star. Never had an issue with with them, but I prefer the E3s. I think they have a little better grip.
MikeWa Posted January 15, 2016 #4 Posted January 15, 2016 The Exedra Max is a different bird than the regular Exedra. I have used the Max and they were very good. Watch the tread depth as two different tires are available. I have not used the e3 so I cannot make the comparison for you. I can say the Exedra Max comes in the correct size and load rating. I can also say the set I had on my Venture worked out very very well. Mike

MikeWa Posted January 16, 2016 #6 Posted January 16, 2016 Mark I had over 17K miles on them when I got hit by a car and totaled the bike. I seem to recall having pretty good tread still remaining. I can't guess what that would have equated to in miles because tires seam to wear faster on the bottom. The replacement Venture I purchased came with nearly new Dunlops. Which buy the way I like just fine. Mike
scotta68 Posted January 19, 2016 #7 Posted January 19, 2016 Elite 4 is on the market, but can seem to find any info for fitment. I work at Dunlop in Buffalo and I'm going to get some info for our bikes.... It's supposed to be replacing the E3 so I would imagine our sizes are in there

bongobobny Posted January 20, 2016 #9 Posted January 20, 2016 Hey Scott, you have been on the site since 2013 and we haven't met up yet??? What's up with that?!!?
scotta68 Posted January 23, 2016 #10 Posted January 23, 2016 E4 will slowly be replacing the 3.... Still have a lot of 3s out there. Our front has been released already, also front for those who moved to the Strat front tire and the rear should be soon to follow. Bongo, never really plan anything, we just get up and go... We split time between bike and boat and boat usually wins when the sun is out
