It would never work off-road ! You would need way more clearance between the trailer and truck bed so you didn't crush the bed rails .

I say that a lot around here. Everytime I see one of them high jacked up 4wd with 4 shocks per corner, big tires and wheels and all sorts of chrome stuff under the truck. You got to know that the closest thing to off road they go is when they miss the driveway.
