Eck Posted January 11, 2016 #1 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) When you want to include someone in your post, like I will say I want to include Puc in one of my posts, do I just click on the @ symbol and then type PUC (@PUC) then underline it? @PUC Do I also underline the @ symbol too or just underline the name? Heck, I'm not certain I am doing this correctly. I don't think I am. So...how about it @Puc, am I doing this right where it notifies you ? Ah, never mind, I think I am doing it right, I guess, according to the instructions in this link. It says to just put the @ before the username... however, it does not mention anything about underlining it though. ? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?109814-How-do-you-tag-users-in-a-post Edited January 11, 2016 by Eck
cowpuc Posted January 11, 2016 #2 Posted January 11, 2016 Yep, ya dont have to do any underlining but you do have to spell the person's name exactly like it shows in the members list.. The @Puc didn't work,, it would have had you have put @cowpuc I think.. If its done properly the name that you Atted with appear with a line under it and will be "clickable" in the post when you add it... ' That all make sense
Flyinfool Posted January 11, 2016 #3 Posted January 11, 2016 Yup what Puc said. You do not add the underline, the viewers computer does that if it is set to underline links. Putting the @ in front of Puc does nothing because this sire does not have a person named Puc. Capitalization is not important and it will change what you have typed to match the capitalization that the user entered.
Eck Posted January 12, 2016 Author #4 Posted January 12, 2016 OPs, I knew you user name was @cowpuc, but, dummy me, only typed puc..(DUH...).. Thanks @cowpuck and @Flyinfool for the info.
