Aimhigh Posted April 8, 2008 #1 Posted April 8, 2008 Getting ready to "retire" and am thinking about working with the instruction schools in the area. Wondering how many instructors we have on the site, how you became an instructor and would you be able to supplement retired pay by doing so? Appreciate any comments. Jim T
TEW47 Posted April 8, 2008 #2 Posted April 8, 2008 I have been an instructor for about ten months. The MSF school was hard. Four of us formed Gulf Coast Motorcycle Safety. Since the weather has warmed up we have been fully booked every weekend. Gets kind of hard on the feet and back with all the standing. Yes you can supplement your retirement, I am retired. It really makes you feel good knowing you are helping someone and hopefully they will learn enough to help them not get hurt or worse. I was hired by the local HD dealer, went to school in Iowa then went to Riders Edge in Atlanta. tew47
rod Posted April 8, 2008 #3 Posted April 8, 2008 I am an instructor and find it very rewarding. It can be tiring doing a full day on the range but not too bad. The money is not bad for a part time gig. Rod
