Guest Jamsie Posted January 1, 2016 #3 Posted January 1, 2016 Long long time since i rode in the ( was a case of that or walk , no other transport ). looked out today and it was dry with light cloud to stop the sun blinding me , Stuck my head out , then turned round and went back inside. It was far far too cold for a pleasure ride ( just above freezing ). i think i must be getting soft in my or is that wiser i dunno. 1 thing i am pleased at though @Flyinfool `s white wash machine , doesn`t have the reach to get me here in
ragtop69gs Posted January 1, 2016 #4 Posted January 1, 2016 The thought had crossed my mind as I rolled out of bed, then when I got to the kitchen and looked outside and saw falling my hopes were dashed.
Flyinfool Posted January 2, 2016 #5 Posted January 2, 2016 Man that ride brings back memories of the good old days. It has been a LOT of years since I peddled a bike. Must be close to at least 30 years. Yes I peddled thru a LOT of snow and cold in my younger days. It is amazing just how good a bike can handle even deep snow, those skinny tires just cut right thru to the pavement. In High school the maintenance dept did not like me because they always had to shovel out one end of the bike rack for me to park. 400+ kids in the school and just one bike.... Long long time since i rode in the ( was a case of that or walk , no other transport ). looked out today and it was dry with light cloud to stop the sun blinding me , Stuck my head out , then turned round and went back inside. It was far far too cold for a pleasure ride ( just above freezing ). i think i must be getting soft in my or is that wiser i dunno. 1 thing i am pleased at though @Flyinfool `s white wash machine , doesn`t have the reach to get me here in Now that sounds like a challenge............... Time to design a power boost.............. Sorry Puc, you are in the line of fire for the UK.
jimmy99 Posted January 2, 2016 #6 Posted January 2, 2016 Awesome! What a cool idea. How many people usually participate?
YamahaLarry Posted January 2, 2016 #7 Posted January 2, 2016 Great way to ring in the new year. Weather... usual Michigan crap with a dose of whitewash from @Flyinfool. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fTVJyvaBuk Fantastic! However, not something I would do. When it snows where I live, I use it as an excuse to become a huge couch potato. Loved the video. Much braver man than myself.
stanG Posted January 3, 2016 Author #8 Posted January 3, 2016 Usually about 30-50 hearty souls, (both men and women) come out for this. I believe the event is in its 18th year. I only learned about it a few years back.
