Motorcycle Mike Posted January 5, 2016 #26 Posted January 5, 2016 Nap, huh..., you must be posting from work. Randy I bet he was sampling some home made wine.
Venturous Posted January 5, 2016 #27 Posted January 5, 2016 OK, we are reserved. Arrive 17th and depart 21st.
Skid Posted January 6, 2016 Author #28 Posted January 6, 2016 Skid, are you staying Fri and Sat? They only have you booked thru Thursday. Randy Randy, I have a niece's wedding on Saturday to go to, I'll have to pull out Friday morning. I tried to talk her into moving her wedding date, but no luck. Adrian will be staying with me that week until Friday. He may reserve the cabin for the next couple of nights. We may have room for one more person in the cabin.
Woody Posted January 6, 2016 #29 Posted January 6, 2016 I bet he was sampling some home made wine. and it was good too, now where did I put that cooler
cabreco Posted January 17, 2016 #30 Posted January 17, 2016 With any luck, by August we should be moved & settled in. So we are looking forward to it. Hey we can even ride out there together!
TDunc Posted January 18, 2016 #31 Posted January 18, 2016 Yes I have Cabin #8 booked for Friday and Saturday. Right now I have one bed booked and one open. Let me know if anyone wants to split for that one.

Skid Posted January 23, 2016 Author #36 Posted January 23, 2016 Ya just mite see mine down there? but the twisties will probably be more fun on 2 wheels for me? One of my all time favorite rides was chasing Skid and Riderduke up a mtn road down there!! Craig That was great until I lost my brakes.
Rick Haywood Posted January 23, 2016 #37 Posted January 23, 2016 Remember, As I learned a few years back DO NOT go to eat and leave your bike at the camp sis with the saddlebags and truck open. They will fill up with water
Rick Haywood Posted January 23, 2016 #38 Posted January 23, 2016 My wife and I are going and was wondering if anyone wanted to split one of the sleeping cabins. We plan on Arriving 8/17 and departing 8/21. Let me know so I know whether to reserve a cabin or camp site Rick & Shirley
1rooster Posted January 24, 2016 #39 Posted January 24, 2016 I don't need no cabin or camping spot.I'm gonna tough it this year and sleep in my own bed.
Motorcycle Mike Posted January 26, 2016 #40 Posted January 26, 2016 For the non campers, no not you rooster, where do you plan to stay? Black Mtn Super 8 crapped on us and called Shirley a liar. We won't go back there. The Quality inn gave us the attitude last time we were there. Don't really want to give them any more business. Thinking maybe Hotel 6.
Venturous Randy Posted January 27, 2016 #41 Posted January 27, 2016 Mike, near the Mexican restaurant we ate at, toward Black Mt, there is the Acorn and Apple Blossom Motels. The Acorn appears to have pretty good reviews. And, as you know, there are several at exit 55. Linda and I are looking forward to seeing you and Shirley. The phone # for Acorn is 828-669-7232. Randy
Woody Posted February 12, 2016 #42 Posted February 12, 2016 hey put in for my vacation today as soon as it is approved I will reserve my spot.
Venturous Randy Posted February 12, 2016 #43 Posted February 12, 2016 hey put in for my vacation today as soon as it is approved I will reserve my spot. Great Great Great I hope it goes good. Randy
Motorcycle Mike Posted February 13, 2016 #44 Posted February 13, 2016 We booked a room at the Quality inn again. Y'all are gona have to put up with us Wednesday through Sunday this time.
Skid Posted February 14, 2016 Author #45 Posted February 14, 2016 I'll be there on Monday in the camp ground.
Yammer Dan Posted February 14, 2016 #46 Posted February 14, 2016 I won't ask anyone to share cabin with me. As soon as I gained a little weight back after accident Snoring came back worse than ever. I didn't snore after accident knocked 40 lbs off me. Warden runs from me now to other bedroom. Might be looking for place to put tent but no plans yet. Still got to climb on that horse.
Rick Haywood Posted February 15, 2016 #47 Posted February 15, 2016 I booked a room for the wife and I at the Acorn motel 4 nights 300 bucks.
Woody Posted March 1, 2016 #48 Posted March 1, 2016 Woody and Katrina will be on D-22 and will arrive on the 16 thru 22. ready or not we are coming
Venturous Randy Posted June 23, 2016 #50 Posted June 23, 2016 Two months to go and Katrina is already packing Just don't forget to bring some of the good stuff. I have spent the morning cleaning up the Time Out and mounting a car carrier on top of it. That big bag I had at Vogal got carried off by a bear and I had to chase him down to get it back. The only damage was some teeth marks. I will be able to unstrap the car carrier and put it on the picnic table and strap it down at night. Linda is sitting here drinking her morning(afternoon) coffee and talking about how much she is looking forward to seeing Katrina, and you too. We were trying to figure out whether we are going to pull the camper down with the Infinity or the Miata. The big advantage in taking the Infinity is she will be able to load up some of the girls and go thrift and antique shopping around the area, as I know some of the girls would like to get off the bike some. Also, if we take the Infinity, we will load the camper on the trailer, as in the past, and have it there if needed. Just as sure as if I don't have the trailer, it will be needed. I am not sure how many are coming, but however how many, we will still have a good time. I always enjoy the familiar members, but I would like to see some new members that have never been to Asheville before, or to any Venturerider event. For the folks on the east coast, Asheville is about as centrally located as you can get and some of the best riding in the country. Randy
