Guest msegelle Posted April 8, 2008 #1 Posted April 8, 2008 My buttons on my raido seem to get stuck now and then more and more often is there anything I can do short of getting a new radio? I can't change raido stations 90% of the time when I want too. Thanks in advance for any advise or help! Mark
eagleeye Posted April 8, 2008 #2 Posted April 8, 2008 I'd start with contact cleaner. Good Luck, Steve
sarges46 Posted April 8, 2008 #3 Posted April 8, 2008 Warranty! Everything is covered in the warranty for 5 whole years! Get them to replace it.
BuddyRich Posted April 8, 2008 #4 Posted April 8, 2008 Are the buttons actually sticking in, or is it that you push a button and the radio just doesn't respond. Quite a few of us have found that the connector for the Radio Control Head needs to be pulled apart and some Di-electric grease put in it. This usually solves the problem. Its under the fairing and if I remember right its the connector with the blue band on it
Guest msegelle Posted April 8, 2008 #5 Posted April 8, 2008 Buddy Rich the buttons get pushed and nothing changes so I am guessing that it's a contact type problem. Is there a tread on this issue that your aware of? I buought the bike in january and will legally license it in my name this month. Thanks for everyones suggestions .............. Mark
BuddyRich Posted April 8, 2008 #6 Posted April 8, 2008 Brad did a good write up on installing a splitter. It shows how to get to the area you need to get to. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3905 Cougar did a nother write up and in his first pic you can see the bundle you need to get to. Which is on the left side as you face the bike. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15370
GigaWhiskey Posted April 8, 2008 #7 Posted April 8, 2008 I had the opposite problem on mine. Brake fluid got on my buttons and then they started ejecting from the radio. Scared the P out me the first time but it was kewl anyway, lol.
