heat shield removal

hello everyone from PA, on my 2009 venture the heat shield on the left side is loose can you remove just the heat shield or do you have to remove the whole exhaust system on that side ? if so what parts am I going to have to replace if any ?

I believe all of the heat shields are welded to the exhaust pipes. Your going to have to remove the exhaust and have it welded. Never heard of one braking the weld before. The exhaust pipes are in three sections, the front pipe, the Y pipe on the rear cylinder and the muffler. If you go to the tech section you can pull up a diagram of the exhaust system.
