Planned Mods

I have a few Mods planned for over the winter, weather permitting.

i will install a fuse box with a relay from the aux outlet.

remove the garmin mount and harness from my VFR and install that on RSV

i bought some led passing lights and a switch with a harness, but the switch looks dirt cheep, might buy the chrome switch from show chrome if and when i can afford it.

also bough a bar mounted clock and thermometer.

my main prob is where to mount the passing lights http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00K5NI0X6?ref_=pe_385721_37038051_TE_3p_dp_1

I bought the black lights due to concerns about the quality of the chrome on these chinese made lamps

the front of my bike looks exactly like the RSV in the baggershield banner. just wondered if anyone has adaptded the original bar for the front indicators to hold a pair of lamps.

even if i bought yamaha light bar the fitting is different and i dont want to pay 10X the cost of the lamps for a bit tube to clamp lights to .

I also have a list for the winter.

First is to get ambulatory again so that I can do the rest of the list.

I have a set of progressive springs to install.

A HO stator and RR to install

1000 LEDs to scatter about the bike.

Install the HID fog lights.

Build new horns.

Not all of this is in the budget but I already have all parts for the first 3 bike projects.

Jamsie,

I don't know off hand of anyone ever attempting to mount after market lights to the Yamaha light bar, but that does not mean it can't be done.

Great idea / mod if you can pull it off.!! :happy34:

First mod is done. I had to file the mounts to fit the bars as they were 1mm undersize.

Half way through adding a fuse box. i have left tails from the box , so i can easily splice accessories to them , then install the fuse( access to output side of fusebox is hard to get to ).

i noticed someone has added a 12v socket direct from the battery which was removed.

not sure which wire is the feed from aux plug, i assume its the small flat plug with 3 black wires running to it

will check wiring diagram
