jakester Posted December 15, 2015 #30 Posted December 15, 2015 Best wishes and a speedy recovery to you. You will find that hi-top basketball shoes do offer some support that will be needed. May your discomfort be minimal and your recover swift. Bill
cowpuc Posted December 15, 2015 #31 Posted December 15, 2015 Be really careful in your foot doctor selection. so it gets re-attached pointing the right direction. Maybe find one who has some perfect refinement, so even your "toe" will be in proper alignment. The limp that you have will be addressed on this Thursday, so when summer returns on your bike you can play. Winter months may be long with therapy and all, But when summer returns we'll be having a ball. No fear do you have or concern for that matter, if thoughts of your White Washer is why all the chatter. These varmints on VR will watch over that thing, so its sure to be ready for NEXT winters sting. We send you our thoughts and prayers dear friend, all wishing you best with full recovery's end. While laying there snoring and under Gods care, have dreams of some snow but PLEASE leave it there!!
CaptainJoe Posted December 15, 2015 #32 Posted December 15, 2015 Penny and I will, be praying for a successful 100% surgery and speedy recovery, Jeff.... Sounds like you should be, good to go, by the end of June...
Sylvester Posted December 15, 2015 #33 Posted December 15, 2015 What the hell is happening to the site? Is everyone getting old and senile like me? Praying for Fool and Puc.
Flyinfool Posted December 16, 2015 Author #34 Posted December 16, 2015 Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I really appreciate it. Finally got the details, I have to sign in at 6:30AM so that they can abuse me for 2 full hours before surgery starts. The surgery is self should take around 2 hours. Another 2 hours recovery and If all goes per plan, I could be home by noon. They do keep mentioning that there is a chance that due to my recent heart issues that they may keep me overnight to be sure all of the anesthesia stuff is out of my system. I'm shooting for home for lunch. Then starts the boredom, I will be desperately looking for things to occupy my poor little brain while I sit around with my foot elevated.
videoarizona Posted December 16, 2015 #36 Posted December 16, 2015 Wishing you the bestest of luck, Jeff! We'll be here awaiting word and rooting for ya! "The snow must go on" !! david
campfire12 Posted December 17, 2015 #37 Posted December 17, 2015 Jeff. best of luck on your operation. My wife Deb did broke her ankle like yours in 2012. Foot turned around 180 deg but she also had a open fracture. the bones were acutually sticking out the side. They put her back together with some exotic metals and she was up and running full boogy in 6 months. It will all work out in your favol and if you stumble at MD (rum balls or not) we will hold you up. were all part of this crazy family.
cecdoo Posted December 17, 2015 #38 Posted December 17, 2015 Hope all goes well and they get you back in good shape. Listen to the Docs, those ankle injuries can be tough. Will have you in our thoughts. Craig
