Lets see the OLDEST ornament you have to go on your Christmas tree

Here is the oldest ornament in our family.

This ornament has been in our family for generations.

My Grandmother had it on her tree, my Dad had it on his trees as he grew up, then I had it on my Christmas trees as I grew up and then I put it on every Christmas tree for my son Jason as he grew up.

 

This will be the last Christmas I will have it on a tree in my home. After this Christmas, I will be sending it to Australia so my son can have it to hold on to.

It's beautiful! The oldest ornament I own was made for me in 1979. It was a needlepoint my kindergarten teacher made for me. I'd take a pic but I think it's unlikely I will get the tree out this yr.

I'm in the same boat as GAWildKat. I have some ornaments that are many generations old. But I am not hauling out any Christmas stuff that I have to put up since I will not be able to take it down till April.

When I was a child We had a neighbor Mr Anderson .

He would make ornaments for the neighbors. He passed away back in the early 1970's

I remember mt parents would have to come round me up , I would walk over and hang out with Mr Anderson

Some times I would come home with some of his garden fixtures he had made.
