KISA Posted December 10, 2015 #1 Posted December 10, 2015 In Russia there is a legend that there is RSV for the 116 horsepowers American market. It is the truth? In what differences from basic model?
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted December 10, 2015 #2 Posted December 10, 2015 Not that I have seen or heard of. Anyone else?
M61A1MECH Posted December 10, 2015 #3 Posted December 10, 2015 Nothing stock from the factory like that, at a point many years ago there was a kit available to bore out the cylinders to increase the displacement from 1300 to 1500cc, that would have had an effect on the horsepower, but I have no idea how much of an effect. I have not heard of or seen that kit offered anywhere for over 15 years. Other possibility is that what you heard about was one of the RSV where some one did major surgery on the frame and stuffed a V-Max motor in a RSV. That is a huge project, just ask Dingy, he is doing similar with his Gen I motor swap to a Royal Star frame bike. It can be done, but is not for the faint of heart and likely requires a large pile of extra money to be available.
MikeWa Posted December 27, 2015 #4 Posted December 27, 2015 That rumor was started by the CIA in cooperation with the KGB to counter the rising popularity of Indian motorcycles. Mike
