I bought some driving lights (oem) and was wondering has anyone put these on?? No instructions! No wiring diagram! I am sure I could figure it out but I have no plans of reinventing the wheel. Anyone with some sugestions or ideas?

Go into the search engine and type in Driving lights. A lot of threads will eventually lead you to some instructions. But first you will have to split the fairing and remove your gas tank to run your wiring through. There is a thread by Freebird on how to split the fairing and remove the gas tank. I installed mine using the instructions I got here on VentureRiders.

Have fun, but be very patient.

I was assuming I would have to put in a relay this helps thanks.

A relay is the only way to go, thats how I do all the ones I install

Sam here's what I did... I mounted my relay inside my fairing and I used a switch so I can shut the lights off.. I used a lighted toggle switch I bought at Autozone and mounted it next to the poweroutlet on the fairing.. OK now the wiring:

12/14 gauge fused wire from battery > relay + relay > lights

14/16 GW tapped from marker lamp or headlight > switch + switch > relay

Now ground the relay and the switch

Basically what you're doing is using the Headlight or Marker light circuit just to power the relay... Not to power the lights itself.. Therefore it doesn't put a strain on your headlight circit and ignition... but the passing lamps will only work with the key on.

hope this helps
