Paris is being attacked by unknown terrorists as I type. Seems they are experiencing a level of terrorism such as we did back in 2001 in NYC. Pray for them!

Prayer Up and Blessings Down as our allies and friends in France try to work thru this mess!! Heart felt condolences to all who are a suffering at the hands of the unjust.. Godspeed to the French authorities (and the rest of the free world) as they attempt to free the hostages and bring justice/stability to a very very bad situation.

PS,, I think I heard them say something referencing the closing of the French Borders at this time.. I wonder if that includes air traffic and all? Sure sounds nightmarish,, what a mess..

Yes there pointing fingers at those who have left France to go fight for ISIS. I firmly believe that anyone who leaves there home country to fight for ANY terrorist group should have there passports pulled then put on a list of wanted terrorist then arrested and be tried as such. The French have brought this on them selves. They have allowed Islamic groups to form there own Islamic communities ruled by Shari Law. No French police are allowed in these areas and when they had the last round of terrorist attacks the perpetrators came from these self governed Islamic areas. In Islam there is only one religion and all others must be destroyed. What they can't take peacefully they will take with violence remember Islams ultimate goal is to create an Islamic world. I know I'll be condemned for this reply but it's the way the world is and one day the choice will come to are we all forgiving or do we protect OUR right to religious freedom??

From the Vatican.....

“We pray for the victims and the wounded, and for all the French people. This is an attack on peace for all humanity, and it requires a decisive, supportive response on the part of all of us as we counter the spread the homicidal hatred in all of its forms.”

Seems even the Pope knows it's time to kick some ass.

Some say radical islam can not be defeated because they are so determined. As I recall history... the Japanese were pretty darned determined until.....

I think the only disagreement I may find with you at all on this @Ground-Hugger is that I struggle to see what you are saying as something that just the French have played into. Back when 9/11 happened I watched in amazement as US Citizens in my home State of Michigan stood in the streets over on the east side and cheered when they heard who was behind the whole crisis. I  and wondered how that was possible and why it was let go? Now I noticed that some of those same people actually got voted into office in that same area and again I am  - how is that possible.. It has occurred to me that living in a society where religious freedom, one of our Constitutional rights, also has a down side, that being that really bad guys can and do use our freedoms (all of them) against us.

I somehow think that solving the problems associated with all of this may actually come down to a decision being made concerning the matter of defining what constitutes religious activity and what is actually a non-religious philosophy of life that violates our individual rights to Life - Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness as set forth in the Declaration of Independence (WOW,, remember where "Lady Liberty" came from - kind of strange considering the events that unfolded today). Until that is ironed out and it is decided by our leaders to call a spade a spade, a decision firmly understood and the results of that decision enforced - I wonder if problems like the world is seeing don't stand much of a chance to end. Without that happening one has to wonder if true evil, as not seen since monsters like Hitler, Hirohito, Mussolini and their millions of followers were committing their atrocities, will continue to grow like the cancer it is. I just hope and pray that its not let go to the point that we find ourselves having to revisit horrors like the beaches of Normandy to get it all straightened out - God help us should that happen.

Just a friendly reminder here folks.

We realize that there are things going on it the world that are of interest to many of us. There are things that we should be able to discuss without turning it into a political debate.

This discussion has the potential of going south. If that happens, it will be deleted.

Like many in this world, I too am sickened to hear and see what has happened in Paris.

Political correctness has been the toe-hold radicals have used against the civil societies of the whole world. If we can't speak about it who's winning?

Even the Vatican is taking a stand.....

I feel your pain H2O and I understand exactly what you are saying, but this is a motorcycle related site and one of "our main rules" is no politics what-so-ever..

If anyone wants to talk politics, there are sites just for that, but not here.

Copied from attached link - Please read:

We have also tried to keep political discussions to a minimum here. Many people have very strong political opinions, including me. Again, there are a lot of places on the Internet to discuss politics and I've never seen any good from mixing politics with motorcycle discussion. What starts off as a rational discussion always seems to turn into a heated debate and it usually gets personal before it ends. All of the same things can be said for religious discussions. Rule #2 would be that politics and religion are two subjects that will not be tolerated.

I rode motorcycles and took a break to help defend the beliefs of this Great Nation and came back to do a lot more riding because we are FREE and have the choice to do so. I can take another break. My shooting eye still works along with my trigger finger. Muslim? Do yourself a favor. Don't visit me!!:backinmyday:
