Front turn signal

Recommended Posts

Yesterday during the Veterans Day parade I noticed my right turn signal was not working.

How do you remove the bulb from the front turn signal? I have removed the clear lens and tried to twist the bulb, I also tried to simply pull it and it doesn't budge. I removed the tiny little metal piece that straddles the rubber housing and tried again. Still no luck. I don't want to break the glass off and leave the base. What do I need to do to remove the bulb?

2009 RSV triked.

I replaced the bulb (it did have a filament break). However that did not fix the turn signal problem. The four way flasher works, the "running" lights work, the left turn signal works. The right turn signal still does not work, front or back. Anyone have any suggestions/things to look for or check?

All the lights work on 4-way and the running lights work. That eliminates the grounds and bad bulbs. The relay is working or your 4-way wouldn't flash. The right side turn signal FRONT and BACK are not working. The only thing left is the switch.

... Or the wires, wire connections to the switch.

Hey Larry.....I do live in the south and you're aiming right at the bullseye (smile). I was riding up a four lane road from Spring City to home in Rockwood, TN just a few days ago. An Ideal Plumbing Company truck was behind me for about 7 or 8 miles. I was in the right lane and he was in the left. We stayed that way for that 7 miles or so. When I got to my turn (to the right of course!) as I made the turn I hear this loud horn blast. The plumbing truck had taken that opportunity to switch lanes and of course....no right turn signal from me.
