cruiserlover Posted November 10, 2015 #1 Posted November 10, 2015 I traded off the 01 venture.89,000 miles, ran ok.It was not maintained at all before I got it.But the clutch was going to need replaced,it had many bad cosmetic problems from being dropped, and all I had was a bonded title.I will try to post a picture of what I got.2009 c50,20,000 miles, 3 years warranty.
cruiserlover Posted November 10, 2015 Author #2 Posted November 10, 2015 ome of the problems with thes 800 boulevards is they have a 50,000 mile engine.I am used to a 200,000 mile engine. But i only ride 2500 miles a ear, i am 66, so I have 10 years left on the bike based on that.2 if i ride a lot.my old bike plus 1700 got it.
Edbo Posted November 11, 2015 #3 Posted November 11, 2015 I had the 2004 volusia 800 which is the same as the boulevard C50 had it for 10 years never had an issue, sold it with 84,000 miles on it. Only put tires and one battery the whole time. I loved that bike. Hope you have a great experience with yours also.
shmily Posted November 13, 2015 #4 Posted November 13, 2015 Sold my C50 when I got the Venture. I kept them both for a long time and loved hopping on the Boulevard for peppy trips around town. I put a fuel controller on it and it was a blast to ride. I was actually saving the very clean C50 to give to my son as a first bike for my son but in his words "Dad, you want me to ride motorcycles more than I do". I knew then that pushing the issue was a bad idea. The day he opened the garage and the Boulevard wasn't in it, he freaked.
cruiserlover Posted November 13, 2015 Author #5 Posted November 13, 2015 thanks guys.If they come back out with the venture,I probably will buy one.if its not a v twin.
