83 coolant leak from hole in pump cover

just took it out for short ride and parked it for 15 min and came out found puddle of coolant under mid engine, followed it to small hole under (water pump?) housing right side of engine. does this mean water pump is gone? 1983 venture

Water pump seal is gone. Not to bad to replace. Once you are in there if it still has the plastic impeller, replace it with the metal one.

It is not a show stopper but you should get it fixed ASAP.I had a bad one on my 84 and rode 4300 km on a tour.Replaced it when I got back.
