garyS-NJ Posted October 19, 2015 #1 Posted October 19, 2015 Helping a friend with his '86 xvz13. Bike idles right up if I restrict sir into box or add choke. I know that always means idle jets clogged or not getting fuel but he swears carbs he cleaned. If we coax it over 2krpms it revs fine up to limiter (have ignetek on it). Didn't find any air leaks around carbs. Could leaking intake or exhaust valves do this? Oh we checked sync too and they are close but very low around -1 inch hg. I thought it should be around -9 to -7 inches hg.
