H2O Posted October 4, 2015 #1 Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) This happened to a buddy of mine yesterday. Temperatures were in the mid 50's. He used his heated grips on his Ultra Classic because he didn't have his gloves. He rode about 2 hrs non stop. This was the result. Hope the picture came through. Never heard of this ever happening. Flyinfool Posted October 4, 2015 #2 Posted October 4, 2015 Somehow I think I would have noticed that happening and turned off the heat.
H2O Posted October 4, 2015 Author #3 Posted October 4, 2015 Somehow I think I would have noticed that happening and turned off the heat. Me too, but this guy rides like he's got an iron butt anyway. Him and his wife are never the ones to call for a pit stop and they're on that thing all the time. He claims the cold wind yesterday masked over what was happening. I guess his hand was overall cooled from the cool wind while the skin on his palm slowly blistered. Realy strange! Bad thing is he's gotta leave with us next weekend for North Carolina.
N3FOL Posted September 22, 2020 #4 Posted September 22, 2020 First of all, I got to have gloves when I ride. Heated grips can be hot enough to the touch.
