Vacation and rain

Linda and I took the little Miata on a vacation that started Tuesday a week ago and we got home yesterday. We were in dire need of a vacation as we had spent most of the spring and summer getting her house ready to sell and getting it sold.

We spent much of our time there with it raining and very little time riding with the top down. We started in Okracoke and meandered down the coast to Savannah, GA. We did get in a nice ride home with the top down yesterday, but it must have hit hard behind us because places like Spartanburg, SC got flooded. We did get to watch the first part of the eclipse while spending one night in Myrtle Beach, then the clouds covered the rest up.

We had a great time, but am glad we came home when we did, especially with what is happening down there now.

I really missed being down there with the Venture, but this one of those times it was best to leave it home.

AWESOME RAND!! Congrats to the both of you on finally getting out for a much deserved vacation.. Looks like you love birds had a really fun time! So whats with the Pirate Ship? Glad you were in your Miata my friend - that trout stream you were driving down looks to deep for a Venture.. We watched the eclipse too, was cool once it got covered - looked like an space ship full of orange pop-ups hanging in the sky - waited over two hours for the moon to lite back up but gave up so you probably didnt miss much..

Congrats on the selling of Linda's house!!

You're probably glad not to be here this weekend. The weather is really crappy, but on the upside no hurricane coming so that's good.

Great to see you at least had some good well deserved rehab. No m&e in Myrtle Beach and missed you on the way back in Lake Lure. Next time make some noise.
