Been having problems getting our site to load, any one else?

Probably my beater computer but I have noticed the site has gotten really slow, sometimes gotta try loading several times in order to load up. All my other stomping grounds see to do just fine so I thought I check in to see if others are having problems too? Thought I would ask before I go crazy and :smash2: go to work on my puter..

Ok,, so heres the deal,, I am running Windows 7, Firefox for a browser.. Thing that's crazy is that the problem is happening with both Lap Top and our Tablet. Even happens on hook ups away from home (Mcdonalds).. I can access all other sites - load right up and navigate just fine at Ebay, other forums, Craigs and on and on..

Here is the really really weird part,, I have noticed that if there are over 70 people logged on to VR I have trouble accessing the site and it gets worse the more folks that are signed in - if its all about only the strongest survive I feel like I am riding my little 1 1/2 horse moped .. Maybe its just my imagination but I dont think so.. Gonna try to post this now and see if it will load..

When I try to access different areas of the site I get a white screen that just sits there. If I hit the back button and try again sometimes it works sometimes don't. Very slow. I won't even say 2nd Gen slow...... even a 2nd Gen ain't that slow.

Well,, I went to full extremes,, we picked up an external hard drive today, pulled (get this) 195 gig of pics of this beater, did the old recovery routine (wiped out the hard drive and reinstalled to new specs.. It got so bad that I couldn't even open the opening page here - tried and tried earlier and finally got on - it was when there were well over 100 other users on the site (hate to beat on a dead horse but it just seemed like the more users on the site the more difficult it was for me to get on - maybe it was just my imagination but it really did seem that way).. I just tried Explorer with the fresh recovery and Explorer would not load the site. Downloaded Firefox and that is what I am running now.. It did take Firefox several attempts before it would load up VR - also noted that there are 58 others signed in = less than the 100 plus earlier..

My next step is going to be to get ahold of our Service Provider and see if they will send me a new Router and line filter. I am running DSL, land line phone here in the house is crystal clear so I dont think its "noise" on the line thats causing issues.

Running Windows 7, 3 gig of memory. Loads all other sites right up including Youtube, netflix, Craigs, and other forums (spent some time on a V-Max forum - bunch of smarty pants - I missed you bunch of lop eared varmints:doh:..

 

Anyway, gonna keep at it till I figure out what in the wild world of sports is going on here.. Maybe hafta set a "mouse" trap with some Sweet n Sour Chicken on it for bait Dan:guitarist 2::guitarist 2::crackup:

There's a couple of things I use to check things out. Speed check will let you know how healthy your connection is, and House Call will clean out any crap in your system. House Call isn't one of those scams that tell you they found a ka-jillion virus's and want you to buy there program to remove them. House call will get rid of the garbage.. no charge.

I did send a message to our host. They are very good about checking things out when I ask but they found no issues at all. I've seen no issues either and have accessed the site from several different hotels and other places. Sorry folks, I don't know what might be causing it. This is the response from our hosting company.

though there was few issues at the server NODE about 15 minutes ago which could be resulted little slowness. Everything is optimal and working fine now. Let us know if you are seeing the same.
