OrlinEngh Posted September 20, 2015 #1 Posted September 20, 2015 On my way to a wedding yesterday I was in my pickup doing around 55 and see 6 bikes with their turn signals on to make a turn left into the bar parking lot. The lead bike went and the rest followed and cut my lane off not enough room to brake so it was to the far left to the shoulder and then back on the road behind a unmarked police car. I pulled off on the shoulder on my side of the road the ones on the bikes went on in the bar the officer came over and asked if I was okay, I told him I hadnt had to make a move like that in a long time and didnt think I needed to clean out my shorts. And I was glad to see that there was only one car coming up behind the bikes. He said he thought for sure it was going to be a bad one untill he seen me go to the left and then slide around the side of his car and then back on the road, and he wasnt sure he didnt need to clean his shorts but before he did he was going to go and have a nice talk with the ones on the bikes. Thought about it on my way to the wedding and I wonder if they were in a hurry to get off of the road because they knew that the officer was coming up behind them and that they had allready had a few. I know that they got a good close look at the front and side of the pickup I hope they had to clean their shorts out and again after the officer got done with them. Just glad that no one got hurt and hope that they take the time to look from now on. Orlin
slowrollwv Posted September 20, 2015 #2 Posted September 20, 2015 Glad every thing turned out OK. It could have been a very bad accident. OH yeah how did the wedding go? Congratulate the bride and groom for me will you.
cowpuc Posted September 20, 2015 #3 Posted September 20, 2015 Hey Or,, bottom line - THANK YOU for paying attention to the road and not allowing those "stupids" to commit harie carie on the front of your pick-up truck (and possibly injuring my buddy Orlin either)!! Seems like that old saying of "ya cant fix stupid" is getting proven on the roadways a lot more often these days.. You da man brother!!
