Cruise control question - sort of

tletourneau

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am wondering what people do with their hand when the cruise is on. I have a 2009 and I like to keep my hand on the bar but that doesn't seem to work very well with the cruise on and holding the end cap gets old on longer rides. Does anyone make a bracket of some sort to rest your hand on?

Thanks,

Tom

When I am on cruise I use my free hand to hold my beer...

But seriously tho... Have you made the bike your own yet? Adjusted handlebar tilt to your reach? I find it most comfortable to ride with my hand on and off the end cap, fly in the breeze, play with the GPS.

And I usually take a peek into the gas tank to make sure my fuel gauge is working but it's not easy in those turns...

Personally I usually just get the blood flowing, shake the Arther out with my hand down low at my side then get it back on the controls.

I usually just rest it on my leg/lap and hold the bar with the left hand.

I've got a messed up RH wrist, so I'm usually working my fingers or shaking it to get blood flow and feeling back into my hand.

Right now I use a throttle lock, next year the bike will have cruise.

Sometimes I have to scratch something...I know my Road Star makes my nose itch terribly....

Speaking of cruise control... Mine didn't work at all (83.5) yet the light is dim/bright when it's supposed to. Now it's started working intermittently yet it won't HOLD the setting at any speed so I THINK I have a vacuum leak.... Comments?
