Ain't healing like I should and getting sick of waiting. Every time I pass Brown Sugar in the garage I hear " I know how to stop when you say STOP! I wouldn't have done that to ya". All Silver needs is a light housing but I promised I wouldn't do it if I couldn't pick it up without pain.

What the heck made you make a promise like that?...

I had a AC separation years ago and ask the specialist when I could ski again... He said "today, if you want, the damage is already done, but if you fall it's gonna hurt like hell..." I went skiing the next day... About a year later I had them cut a couple a couple inches off due to impingement problems. It's all good...

Get your tent ready and ride up to Snowden in a couple of weeks... you'll feel better... heck take brown sugar till Silver is fixed/TRIKED...

Hey Dan, get a side car rig bro,, that way if you happen to get to a Rally and start feeling like you cant ride - you can still have one of your more trustworthy buddies drive you around while you relax in the side hack (pick me Dan,, pick me,,,,,, :big-grin-emoticon:)...

That would make you......."Honder Dan"!!!! :stickpoke:

Wonder if Honder Dan will have any better luck finding Honder Dan than Yammer Dan did finding Yammer Dan,,, something tells me this would not be an easy transition :big-grin-emoticon:

I could get a Wing Trike. Lot of sharp ones out there....:backinmyday:

I tried that 4 different time - '88' w/motortrike, '90' w/motortrike, '2007' w/Champion, '2008' w/motortrike -NONE of them were as comfortable as a Venture with a pillow top seat and it could be more comfortable after Rick gets done with it. (the seat)

There really is another very fun option and your wife will ride with you, maybe.

For $3,000 or less you can pick up a decent Miata and as much as I have enjoyed my Venture for almost 20 years and about 150,000 miles, I am really enjoying the two Miatas. In fact, I just picked up another one that needs a lot of TLC that I gave to my son Brian.

I had been looking for a hardtop and they usually run between $800 and $1,400. I ran into a guy that had one and I asked him if he ever wanted to sell it to give me a call. He called and priced it for $600 and when I went to get it, he said we could have the whole car for another $200 as it wasn't running. We took it home and started looking at the engine, which already had the valve cover off, and when we turned the crank to TDC, we both at the same time said "the cams are out of time'. We re-timed the cams and it started up and runs great. We got a killer deal on another soft top and a complete interior and with some body work, it is going to be a nice, fun car.

I will be the first one to say that I have really enjoyed my Venture, but at this point in my life, I am very aware that healing don't come easy and I am really concerned with hurting Linda on the bike.

@Yammer Dan

I can't say I know you personally because we have never met.

What I can say is that I have looked in on you from time to time on this forum.

I know you're hurting and I am very sorry for the accident you are still recovering from. It wasn't your fault, nor was it the 2nd Gen's fault.

The thing I can't figure out is why you are beating yourself up for it.

You have written more history than I can dream of trying.

Please don't be so hard on yourself. All the members of VR adore you in their own ways, and we only want the best for you.

Yeah Bob I'm a little ticked that this is taking so long but I'm getting there. The older we get the slower we heal. I'm not really beating myself up about it just impatient about it. And getting on the 2nd Gens is just me. Do I think I could have stopped if I had been on the 1st Gen?? Years more logged on the 1st Gens?? Tire I had just installed? Yes I think I could have stopped the 1st Gen. Fault?? Mine for getting out of bed that morning.....:Avatars_Gee_George: Bridge surface for causing that rear to lock up?? And for not having enough practice on the 2nd Gen. But it was a great ride up until that IDIOT!!
