BEER30 Posted April 4, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2008 Let's say , "What If" there were no Ventures ever made , 1st Gen's nor 2nd Gen's . What would you be riding ? Myself , I would be on a custom "built" from scratch scoot . Old school scooter made from any possible parts and pieces . And You ? BEER30
Freebird Posted April 4, 2008 Share #2 Posted April 4, 2008 That's easy for me. The only other full dresser out there with that great cruiser styling. The Ultra Classic.

Freebird Posted April 4, 2008 Share #5 Posted April 4, 2008 Well...I also have to say that the Rocket III is getting close. If they would just add a fairing, I would have to give it a hard look.

oldandcrotchety Posted April 4, 2008 Share #8 Posted April 4, 2008 Not sure. I like the Ultraclassic, but i don't like feet-forward position that almost all new bikes have. So I'd have to say I'd either find a newer bike with traditional peg position, (if possible) or hunt around for another old road bike that suited me. Maybe an old Electra Glide or Super Glide or possibly a BMW.
cecdoo Posted April 4, 2008 Share #9 Posted April 4, 2008 Probably the Ultra Glide, I have looked at the Vision at 2 different bike shows, and it has some great features, but I am not ready for that look?? Dont think I ever will be:cool10:

BIG TOM Posted April 4, 2008 Share #12 Posted April 4, 2008 THATS A TOUGH ONE, I LIKE THE LOOKS OF THE ULTRA CLASSIC, THE RIDE OF THE GOLD WING AND THE PRICE OF A SCHWINN.
1sttenor Posted April 4, 2008 Share #13 Posted April 4, 2008 I'd have a hard time deciding. I had had two GWs, prior to the Ventures, but I'd look at the Ultra Classic. My concern with them is the HEAT!
Brake Pad Posted April 4, 2008 Share #14 Posted April 4, 2008 Honda Goldwing I had the 84 & loved it . 237,000. plus miles on it. "I loved it"
FROG MAN Posted April 4, 2008 Share #15 Posted April 4, 2008 My first road bike was a Triumph 750. If I can get a garage built on our new property soon and not have to deal with this creek crossing who knows? That Triumph R3 might have my name on it. That reminds me I might want to increase the size of my garage plans.

pegscraper Posted April 4, 2008 Share #24 Posted April 4, 2008 I would either still be riding the '81 XS1100 that I used to have, or else I would have gotten a Valkyrie, probably the red and white '97.
