Beau-Kat Posted August 25, 2015 #1 Posted August 25, 2015 Thought this was cool. Until the comment about the gearbox alteration broke my budget. Ha! http://thekneeslider.com/yamaha-vmax-powered-t-bucket/
Huggy Posted August 25, 2015 #2 Posted August 25, 2015 How about this a V8 334Hp 2000cc Motorcycle from Down Under https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koPQnNZdco0.
cowpuc Posted August 25, 2015 #3 Posted August 25, 2015 Now THAT is AWESOME Beau!!!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR THE LINK AND THE PICS!!!!! Kinda got me on the $$'s for gearbox alterations,, seems like triked Vennies have been around for a long time and wonder if gearbox alteration is needed to accomplish triking:think:.. Regardless,, gotta admire that outfit for what it is = AMAZING!!!
Flyinfool Posted August 26, 2015 #4 Posted August 26, 2015 On triked Ventures they just flip the rear end upside down to get correct rotation. It is the equivalent of always driving in reverse as far as the loading on the gear teeth. But a trike is not that heavy compared to the car the rear end came out of so there is not a wear issue. Now in that T bucket, you might not want to run the rear end backwards. But 7 grand to change the bikes output direction, I think I would have used a simple in/out box to reverse the rotation.
stanG Posted August 26, 2015 #5 Posted August 26, 2015 I have seen this rig at a car show in Sandusky, MI a few years back. It's a sweet build. Sounds good too.
