SilvrT Posted August 17, 2015 #1 Posted August 17, 2015 Noticed this before but never really delved into it. Today I've had 2 responses to my latest thread yet it doesn't appear under "New Posts" ... ??? is there a check box somewhere I missed?
Freebird Posted August 17, 2015 #2 Posted August 17, 2015 Depends upon which thread you are talking about. Some do not show up under new posts because people didn't want them to. Ebay ads, links to classifieds, etc.
Freebird Posted August 17, 2015 #3 Posted August 17, 2015 Or...if you are talking about your OWN posts/responses, they will NOT show up under new because they aren't new to you.
SilvrT Posted August 17, 2015 Author #4 Posted August 17, 2015 Or...if you are talking about your OWN posts/responses, they will NOT show up under new because they aren't new to you. ahhhhhhhhh that's right re: the links to ads ( I forgot about that ) .... but other threads of mine with new responses (aka new posts) should show up, shouldn't they? Maybe I'm just losing my cookies and missing them somehow .... (cookies meaning my mind)
Freebird Posted August 17, 2015 #5 Posted August 17, 2015 They should. Your last post here showed up under mine. As for the bike, why don't you put it in the classifieds. That's what they are far. I paid good money for that software, people should use it.
SilvrT Posted August 17, 2015 Author #6 Posted August 17, 2015 As for the bike, why don't you put it in the classifieds. Done!
Freebird Posted August 17, 2015 #7 Posted August 17, 2015 Good luck with it. Nice bike. Still wouldn't trade my Road Glide for it though.
SilvrT Posted August 17, 2015 Author #8 Posted August 17, 2015 Good luck with it. Nice bike. Still wouldn't trade my Road Glide for it though. Of course not... who would want it ... but thanks for the compliment ! Kidding aside, your RG looks pretty nice but I've always leaned to the EG ... Lone Eagle's is amazing!

dogman Posted August 18, 2015 #12 Posted August 18, 2015 Noticed this before but never really delved into it. Today I've had 2 responses to my latest thread yet it doesn't appear under "New Posts" ... ??? is there a check box somewhere I missed? Yes this happens to me as well. I'll type a new post in watering hole and then don't see it again. After a few days, I do a search for the thread and there are responses to it, but when I click on the What's New button it doesn't show up. I thought it was just me as weird stuff happens or doesn't happen to me when I'm on a computer. Is there another button I should be pushing instead?
dogman Posted August 18, 2015 #13 Posted August 18, 2015 Oh yes, now you got me on a roll. Another thing that happens if I respond to a thread, sometimes I don't see it again in the whats new button. I have to go beyond the "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts. " And I can find it there, but others have posted after mine since I was last on. Again not sure if it is something I am doing wrong or that I should be clicking on something different.

I have no idea why it went bold. I'm not yelling, and I couldn't figure out how to get it back to normal or a regular return to the left side of the thread. See, strange things happen to me on a computer.
Guest divey Posted August 18, 2015 #15 Posted August 18, 2015 Done! Say it ain't so Rick! Don may have to start an RV section just so you stay on board with us. Good luck with the classified. Doug

Doug No need for the RV section for that ... ya never know... my "down scaled" replacement bike might just be an older Royal Star. Not giving up riding completely, just scaling back a lot and doing something else instead.
