Evan Posted August 19, 2015 #26 Posted August 19, 2015 OOPS - just realized I have been riding for the last week without my licence plate, and it's an 8 hour ride to get it, with a forecast of heavy rain along the way. Don't think I should try to cross the border without it. So our plans at the moment are up in the air.

Won!t take the 8 hr run to search for my plate where I think it is due to heavy rain forecast today but if I can get a replacement plate, we will get there tomorrow am.

Leave home about 5 or so, ride through the Peninsula, (Hwy 3, Port Colborne, Fort Erie), grab some supper somewhere, maybe Green Acres around 6:30 or so, to miss Buffalo rush hour and then end up in Chaffee when we get there.

Let me know and we'll wait if needed. We're in no rush seeing as this is my only vacation during my holidays while we work on retirement.

Evan if you go in to replace it........IT WAS LOST!........You left point "A" it was there you got to point "B" it was gone. "NO CHANCE" it was stolen......cause that would be a PIA for you they'd make you go report it to Police, get a police report number and then come back. So nope not a chance it was stolen, HAD TO have fallen off somewhere while I was riding!? Actually it depend on the office you go into, some of them can be goofs about it. Well if you don't know the last time you saw it and where it is now, it could be stolen just as much as lost!........Just an FYI.

Been a real challenge this year as in addition to realizing I had no plate yesterday, we have had to work around a family death and visit by my daughter from Calgary, but we have now managed all that. However, just now got a call about my mother being sent to a hospital due to a fall so I have to deal with that next. As I said, we still hope to get away, but it will now depend on mom's situation. What a ride!

What a ride! Hope it works out better for your Mom than it did for Marca's Mom,,,, just across the road eh? hope this thing isn't catching. Marca's mom fell 2 weeks ago, now on heavy antibiotics, blood thinners, and careful watch. Not able to make the trip down for dinner etc, so is being 'nursed' in her room. Yep, hope it's better for your Mom. Blessings. Carl

Real nice here in Barrie now after heavy rain most of the day. Checked the weather radar down at the rally they should be getting it right now but will be done by the time I get down in the area. Don I'll have to pit stop at Casablanca on the way down, I'll check and see if your at the Motel when I get there, to say hi. See everybody there.....safe travels!

We'll be at Casablanca at 9 and see if anyone is there..and leave if no one is there We are still here Don, but won't be able to leave until the afternoon. If you are alone or with others and you want your coffee at our place we are the next exit from Casablanca. Call me
