New Check Box in Profile.

A couple days ago I PM'd Freebird and inquired about adding another check box in our profile. the Check box is for Mechanical Assistance. He has gone ahead and added this, so if you are willing and able to offer Mechanical Assistance to members in need please update your profile by placing a check mark in the box beside Mechanical Assistance.

I can offer mechanical assistance...but not to the same level as several others. Maybe instead of check box to offer assistance it should be for "tools available" or something similar. Mechanical ability should be a number between 1-5.

I see the mechanical ability block as being more than just tools, the ability to talk someone through a problem on the phone, teach someone in their own garage how to fix something or fix something for them is my interpretation of the mechanical ability block.

Don There already is one for tools - Mechanical assistance was just an addition to the list of check boxes that were already there. If you go into settings at the top right of the page edit profile and then scroll to the bottom you will see the list of check boxes. Edited August 7, 2015 by saddlebum
