While it maybe obvious to some it may not be to all. While looking at the calendar for up coming events/rides I found it difficult to figure out where these events take place. I have to go back and search the threads to try to identify the location. Camp sites, blocks of hotel rooms are listed but still no city/state. Often times I have to look up the originator's profile and if listed see which state they reside. Would it be possible to list the nearest city, state as part of the calendar entry? Just sayin...

It's simply up to the host of the event to add them to the calendar with all the correct information. I would think that the location would certainly be essential. :) Some folks just forget that not everybody has been here since the beginning and what they think is well known information, may not be to some.

This was a good reminder. Thanks.

Don't know how important this might be, or how many times these items are forgotten,,,,, but could we add a form to fill out when we post a new event.

It could include:

Contact info

Event address

Run dates

Rain date (if needed)

And maybe some more important info

Good idea my friend but one that I don't know how to do. Sorry. Maybe I'll look into it but don't know an easy way to make it happen.

I don't think moving a 1000# mill into your basement qualifies as an EVENT

AND

You are correct, a 1000 machine is not much of an event.:moon::rasberry:

The lathe was only 1200 lbs.

The surface grinder was 1800 lbs.

The mill was only 3800 lbs.

They all came down the wooden basement steps with two 90° turns.

The mill was a bit of an event, had a good crowd for that one. It was the first machine down there.
