starts well(new battery) but idle speed increases as it warms up) Has someone have any idea bike has been setting for a while blaine

1. Partially plugged pilot circuit on one or more carbs.

2. Air/vacuum leak.

3. Initial cold idle speed set too high. Lower the idle to under 950 rpm.

it runs real good idling you run it it runs faster the longer you run it would try seafoam

What speed is it idling cold and what does it speed up to hot?

How are you using the choke?

 

Some speed increase is normal

My 85 did that a few years ago. I Sea-Foamed it hard and it finally quit it.

i bought the bike turned the idle down sea foam will let set for the night the air ride pimps but will not hold have to pump it up every time any thoughts what to look for blaine the body is a little cracked ant tires are bad only paid 1200 for it so i have a little leaway

For the air suspension, make yourself a little soap and water solution in a squirt bottle. Then trace down all the places there's joints in the air lines. Squirt a little of your solution on the joints and when/if it bubbles you've found your leak...
