Stache Posted July 16, 2015 #1 Posted July 16, 2015 I may have finally found one I like. It's rigid mount, fits 1" bars. The rubber gasket that came with it made the unit difficult to fit on the bars. I wrapped the bar in electric tape instead of using the rubber thingy. Seems to work for me. $10 CDN in the bicycle accessories aisle.
Bigbear1 Posted July 16, 2015 #2 Posted July 16, 2015 I bought same one but couldn't get it on with rubber gasket. Was thinking about putting on crash bars and reaching back to get bottle. Maybe I will try electrical tape
Marcarl Posted July 17, 2015 #3 Posted July 17, 2015 I would think that the coffee would run out when it's on it's side like that,,,, but hey, all the more reason to stop for another cuppa.

When I rolled up to the drive-thru window at Tim Horton's I found myself fishing in the VERY deep pockets of my chaps for change. Annoyingly, time-consumingly embarrassing with an impatient line-up behind me. The solution? A magnetic parts cup, $1.99 CDN at Princess Auto. Most Canadian coins are magnetic, so I dump a handful of change in the cup before I set out, and, should i stop for a tea, I'm all set.
Midicat Posted July 19, 2015 #5 Posted July 19, 2015 Good looking cup holder. Looks sturdy too! I have to agree with Carl. Can't the cup sit up straight? I mean, parallel to the ground makes for very few sips. Thomas
ReinyRooster Posted July 19, 2015 #6 Posted July 19, 2015 Great find! Just put one on my bike and it fits the travel mug perfectly. Couldn't get the rubber gasket in place so I used electrical tape to protect the chrome. Putting the tightening screw in the rear was a bit of a design flaw though.
jakester Posted July 20, 2015 #7 Posted July 20, 2015 I picked up a similar one at walmart in the bicycle accessory area. Mounted mine on the passenger grab handle, Kinda tight getting it started over the rubber grip, It did tighten up nicely. Great find Thanks Bill
