Some of us are coming from Ontario and Jayceesfolly suggested stopping for "breakfast Sunday morning at Bob Evans restaurant at exit 66 (Quaker Blvd) of I-70 on the west side of Indy. It is about 85 miles from the Super 8 in Gas City. We could meet there for breakfast about 10:30 AM or so. It is 245 miles (about 4 hours) from Bob Evans to the campground. Also remember we gain an hour, for the time zone change, when we get west of Indy at the state line, so travel time is actually about three hours to the campground."

Nancy and I are staying at the Super 8 in Gas City Saturday night, Saddlebum (Ben) has listed he is booked for Marion (same area, not sure if he booked same hotel).

Anyone coming along I70... meet up at the Bob Evans ?

You are right, Ben, I meant to say that we actually will arrive an hour earlier, local time, but driving time will still be about four hours.

FYI: Address for the Bob Evans: 6102 Cambridge Way, Plainfield, IN 46168, for those that want to put it in their GPS. Exit 66 I-70, turn right off ramp, go to light (1/4 mile) turn right and then immediate right on Cambridge Way. Restaurant on right.

Wow! I just took a gander at y'alls temps you've been having in Canada. You folks are gonna be stunned when you get down here to the mid south. Hits hotter n blue blazes in this part of the country right now.

As mentioned in an earlier post My wife grew up an hour from there and her family still lives there. Well aware of those horrid temps and humidity and remember well sitting in front of the window air conditioner and not moving from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Thankfully after 38 years of Marriage and frequent visits I have gotten somewhat used to it.

Great! Sounds like you're used to it. Those of us who have lived here all of our lives kind of have a love/hate relationship with it. We, by our southern nature, don't really look forward to winter, but when the dog days of summer get here, whew. well, we just tolerate it.
